Dear Bhaghavata UttamAs:

Recently, one of our fellow members expressed a desire to know some more 
details and the main purpose of the conference connected with the centenary 
celebration of MadurAntakam Swamigal.

MadurAntakam Veera RaghavachArya Swamigal was considered as one of the 
greatest of achAryas and enjoyed the greatest of regards from 
Poundareekapuram Swamigal, Srimad Azhagiya Singhar, Parakalmutt Swamigal and 
UttamUr VeerarghavachAr Swamigal.   His forthcoming centenary celebration 
reminds us of the enormous gratitude that we owe him for his yeoman 
contributions to our sampradAyam.

Swami's centenary celebration is being planned at  Srirangam where he spent 
the later part of his life.  This centenary celebration will once again 
bring to the forefront Swami's contribution to our sampradAyam.  It will 
also bring the present day achAryAs and other great scholars in a great 
congregation.  100s of vedic scholars will be honored.  Many poor 
bhaghavatAs will be fed.  It is a
great opportunity for all of us to share in this kaimkaryam.

In keeping with the life and teachings of Sri Madhurantakam Swamy a broad 
outline of activities for the celebrations under the Chairmanship of 
PoundarIkapuram Swamigal has been drawn up as below.

1. Recitation of the Vedas, the Divyaprabhandham, Sri Bhasyam, Gita
Bhashyam, Srimad Rahasyatrayasaram and Bhagavad Vishyam
2.Vidwat Sadas for five days.
3.Discourses by eminent scholars in the evenings.
4.Publishing the collected works of Sri Madhuranthakam Swamy.
5.Tadiyaradhana for all the participants during the five days.
6.A souvenir to mark the celebration

    To  keep  in tune with the event and add lustre to the Sri Ramanuja 
darsana, all  the  Yatisreshtas of our Sampradaya are to be invited to 
participate in the celebrations.   Each scholar is to be given around 
Rs.1000 as sambhavana and the travel expenses.  The total cost for this is 
estimated to be Rs 10 lakhs.

    We  earnestly  appeal  to  all  Sri  VaishnavAs to come forward with 
liberal donations  to  this  noble cause in order to pay a  fitting tribute 
to the great contributions of Swamy to the Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya.

    For  those  who  make  contributions  at  the $100  (US)  level,  as  a 
token of appreciation,  copies of Yatiraja Saptaty by Poundarikapuram 
Andavan Swamigal (7 cassettes)  will  be given.  If you are making 
contributions at the $150 level a complete   set   (about   20   cassettes)  
  of  Upanyasams  recorded  under  the
(popularization of Vedanta Desikas project) will be given as a compliment.
