Dearest Sisters and Brothers,

Is there any significance mentioned in any of our scriptures or heard in 
any of AchAryAs' upanyaasams on Kudumi or sikhA. This has been asked by 
one of my colleagues, who is also a ISCKON member, having a sikhA. I 
could not think of any immedaitely. I only thought that it may be to 
hold our "kudumi" by the AchAryA in order not to let us get drowned in 
samsaaric ocean.
