Dear Friends,

Saturday September 13 is Ekadashi and Sunday Sept 14th is Sravana
Dwadasi and the fast is supposed to be broken on Monday morning
September 15th.

A two day fast is difficult under the best of circumstances and
certainly not easy in this country.  However since hardly anyone
observes a total fast, a two day abstinence from rice and abstinence
from salt on the dwadasi day is recommended.

Sriman Sadagopan or Sampath Rengarajan maybe able to highlight the
speciality of a Sravana Dwadasi vratam and the relationship of this
vratam to Oppaliappan Perumal.
