Swami dEsikan's thirunakshathram being today (also a sravaNam day) it is apt
to present a few lines from swami dEsikan's slokam that may be useful for those
seeking depth of knowledge, and those seeking to intensify their bakthi. The
readers may want to recall one of my post in praptti on amalanAthirpiRan, and
the note on combined significance for "amalanathi piraan" and the following
slokam known as "bagwathdyAna soBAnam".

antharjyOthi : kimapi yaminAmanjanam yOkathrushtE:

						slOkam 1

One who is ever glittering in the minds of yOgis as the antharyAmi
jyOthi, and the one who also decorates their eyes with the
siththAnchanam, the sinthAmani who easily provides us with the all
those we desired in this and the other worlds, the one who is easily
accesible and also the oen who takes care of all the poor souls, and remove
their sorrows, the one who is the nucleus of all the vedic darsanam
(or the focal point) and the one who is god of all gods is seen in
then arangam !

bakthim kAdAm thisathu bagawathyAna sObAna sObanamEthath:

the fans and followers of HIM (arangan) are yielded to this, and it also
steals the minds of bakthAs and bAgawathALs and such is the
thiru varangath thiruppathi (the bOga sayanam of Lord arangan). I the
vEnkatEsa kavi in midst of all vidwAns in srirangam, deliver this
bagwath dyAna sObAnam. And for those who would want to easily attain
the matured and elevated mind of those parama yOgis, this (slOkam) will
also proive them with the mind that will have firm bakthi on Lord
Arangan all the time.

It is believed in our achArya gurupArampariyam that When these 12
slOkams of bagwath dyAna sObAnam and the 10 pAsurams of amalanAthipirAn
are chanted with the anushtAnam of thirup pAnaazhwaar and swmai dEsikan
in mind, will remove the anYAnam and provide one with athyathma
nYAnam.
