Dear Sadagopan

Firstly I have seen the depiction and seen it more than once. On the 
way in, one usually moves slow and if one observes the gates on the 
outer-praaharam, left-side (while going in), it is clearly visible. 

If it were indeed Kuberan, then my view is that its highly unlikely 
that Perumal would play dice with him. 

Firstly, one plays dice with equals and with friends and not with 
lenders and when already one is in a huge debt. But if Krishna played 
with Rukmini its different, its out of love. So that way its unlikely 
that its Kuberan. 

Also there is a fairly concrete charitram of Sri Hathiram Baba who 
settled down in Tirumala and had many darshans of the lord. Its also 
well known that he was fat and due to which he was called "HAthi-
ram", resembling an elephant in his stoutness. But this was not in 
recent times though, and it seems to be a very old charitram. 

Am still not convinced though and need to dig in a little more.
