Preserving the Tradition !

From the Bhakti List Archives

• September 24, 2000

Dear Bhagavathas,

During the course of the past few weeks when the members of the bhakti list have been exercised over the twin subjects of 'demi gods' and 'keeping the tradition alive', a group of Srivaishnavaites (convened by Shri Velukkudi Krishnan and Sri K.Sampath Kumar) have met on the 20th August and had drawn up a list of many different agendas covering many many points which have been covered by a posting appropriately named 'Emberumanar Darsanam ' and sent to adiyen by email a few days ago.

I am not sure whether Sri Krishnan had posted this on the Bhakti list and i shall request him to do so.It is a massive posting over 80k's by far the largest i have ever received .

I am hereby requesting Sri Sampath to post "Emberumanar Darsanam " on this list as i am unable to do so ex my vsnl account. I request all Bhagavathas to study the same very very carefully and offer your suggestions for further action.

I am in this for two specific and major objectives -- to achieve a semblence of unity amongst all Srivaishnavas and to ensure that our boys and girls are brought into ( and back to as the case maybe ) our Ramanuja Darsanam and we have to follow a line of action duly blessed by our Acharyas to achieve at least these main objectives.

There are some wonderful suggestions to support the Divya Desams and i repeat my offer made a few postings ago to coordinate the efforts and the contributions of the overseas Sri Vaishnavaites in this regard. There are a few established Trusts and contributions maybe channeled thro' these.

I earnestly request that all Bhagavathas read this posting very very carefully and in detail and come back to me about which of the ideas that appeal to you and what you can do to implement the same.

Regards.

RR.
