On worship of demi-gods

Thiruvengada Jeeyar thiruvadigale Saranam.

Dear Bhagavatas,

my namaskarams to u all.

It seems a few members of the list are of the opinion that worship of
demigods is OK as Lord srimannarayana alone is the in-dweller of all. i
would like to share my thoughts on this topic.

There is no doubt about the omnipresence of the Almighty. But how
accessible is He as antaryAmI? Why worship Him as antaryAmI of Siva or
Saibaba alone? Why not as antaryAmI of VSM Vishnu or Bill Clinton?

We have Vedas, which do recognise him as the SarIrI of everything or the
Lord having rudra, indra et al. as His body, and they do praise Him so in
several hymns as pointed out by Sri krishna kalale (who is clearly not in
favour of demigod worship) and we do take note of it as we recite vEdas.

Apart from being antaryAmI, Lord has taken several avatAras and has also
manifested Himself in archA form in bonafide temples i.e. those following
Vaikhanasa or pAncharAtra or those having purANic sanction like guruvAyUr,
badarI etc. Our AchAryas have very clearly advised us to worship the most
accessible archA form of the Lord. when we have so many temples and also
know about His taking birth as rAma, Krishna et al., what is the fun in
worshipping demigods or babas or ammas?

If we really come to know that Lord nArAyaNa alone is the antaryAmI of all,
we will never worship others but worship Him alone in whatever form He has
shown Himself out of His mercy (let us remember yAmunAchArya's "namO namO
vAgmanasAtibhUmayE namO namO vAgmanasaika bhUmayE"..)
