Dear Sri Badri,

Lord Vishnu took birth as aditi's son in vAmana avatAr and hence is known as Aditya and also upEndra i.e Indra's younger brother. It is justlike His being the son of kausalya or dEvakI. the only difference is they took place in diff lokas.

Infact the famous stotra Aditya Hrudayam recited by Lord rAma is on Lord Vishnu only and not on Sun.
