Dear SrI Krishnamachari:

yes, the temples use Thiru-MaNi during the Aaaaradhanam
at Temples followingthe TennaachArya SampradhAayam,

Earlier in the week , I attended the Saaya Rakshaa 
aarAdhanam of Sri Paarthasaraty PerumaaL at ThiruvallikkENi.
The GhantA wa sused during that occasion .

during ArAdhanam at the house, I am told that it is used during the tiru-ArAdhanam
at the temples that follow the tennAcArya sampradAyam.  I do not have personal
verification of this information.
