Namo Narayana, There have been a lot mails regarding ekadasi and we also read the story of Ekadasi. Now according to the story the 'Paapapurusha' resides in the grains on Ekadasi. In practice Ekadasi sometimes is observed on different days by Smarthas and Vaishnavas. In this case there seems to be a clash. What is the rationale behind having ekadasi observed on two different days. I also believe that we normally follow the traditions as handed down the ages for us. Till I read this article it never mattered when we observed ekadasi. As per the almanac and elders guidance it has been observed so far. It is also hard to believe that there would be some sort of selective-community basis for the Paapapurusha .Can someone please clarify. My intention is clarification on the day to observe ekadasi. Unknowingly if I have hurt someone by asking this question kindly pardon me. Ramanuja dasi __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
