[sv-rituals] Thiruman

Dear bhagavathas,
 
            I wear thiruman & sricharnam, everyday & I use the red
colored sricharnam. But one of my friends, wears the sricharnam in
yellow color. Even he is not able to explain why it is so. Since his
forefathers used that color he is using it. Can somebody explain the
usage of the two colors? & in what instances should which color be used?
