 SrI D. T. Thathacharya comments that the incident referred to in pAdukA sahasram Slokam  554 is Siva worshiping Lord rAma soon after the rAvaNa vadham.  If anyone can explain the significance of this statement.  Also, I am not familiar with the specific incident referred to with respect to arjuna.  I will be interested in the details and the lesson that was imparted to arjuna by Siva.
