I agree with Mani. 4, 8, 16 might have come because of the
4 digits(fingers) in each hand and the 16 joints. The
measuring system ADAM(64) in the South might have been because
of this. I recall that system based on 12 would have been
better, but decimal system came about because of the 10 fingers.
Did God bring about hte decimal system by giving 10 fingers
to human beings?
