Vadagalai vs Tengalai

I am interested in knowing what are the philosophical issues over
which Sri Sampradaya split into two.  I have heard bits and pieces
but no authentic versions.  Books seem reluctant to touch this
subject for fear of rousing passions.  But I do not see why they
should not be talked about as long as the V & T talking about the
subject knows not to feel contempt for or disrespect the other.  Has
there been any prior postings about this before?
