thiru adhyayana sEvai - part 5 - kANavillai enthan antharatthinai !

Dear bAgawathAs,

kAnAthu kaNdEn thAmArai chengan aranganai
kandathum kAnavillai enthan antharattthinai
thEdinEn thirinthalainthEn nin thiruvaruLAL
Odi oLinthEn unthannilE ennaiyE

Meaning:
It is such an aboorvam that this most beautiful Sri Arangan is
amongst us (*). It is a such a rare treat to see this beauty. In
general, a jivAtma due to its karma and annyadEvatha sambahandam
can not *realize* and conceive such a beauty, no matter who
(except AchAryAs) tell or write to them about it. When adiyEn
see such an unusual beauty in Sri Arangan [ie., the beauty that
cannot be seen anywhere else ("kAnAtha" or "engum kAna
iyalAtha")], adiyEn see that reddish eye that is similar to the
lotus flower. After seeing such "kaNgaL" (Reddish eyes), adiyEn
is facing with a crisis. adiyEn realizes that my antharam,
that is Athman, is suddenly missing. adiyEn is so worried about
it. adiyEn wandered around searching for my Athman. Finally, due
to Sri Arangan's own thiru AruL adiyEn found the "antharam" in
HIMself! ie., It lost all its own aham and eloped with HIM on
seeing this beauty of Sri Arangan and had hidden (merged) in HIM.

No one can describe the beauty of Sri Arangan adequately.
"AkAsatthai alanthAlum aLakkalAm, Arangan Azhagai varai arukka
yArAl mudiyum ? Azh kadalaiyum arunthalAm, en amuthanin (Arangan
with Sri Ara amuthan) Ar azhagai muzhuthumAga yAral Arap paruga
iyalaum ?" One can even measure and survey the sky and as well
describe it, but who can completely do so for Sri Arangan ? One
can consume the entire depth of the ocean. But who can consume
this nectar beauty of Sri Arangan completely and without any
"miccham"?

Having attempted to describe the immeasurable beauty of Sri
Arangan adiyEn want to quickly get into the purpose of this
series. This pasuram is conveying an essential concept of
saranagathi thatthuvam. It is very important to give this touch
so that the underlying principles of thiru adhyayana uthsavam
that will be dealt in the following (parts) can be understood
in a proper way.

note: (*) Sri Arangan has come to pomona, Newyork as well due to
the kAruNyam of HIM and the 44th Srimadh Azhgiya Singar of Sri
Ahobila muth.
