today. The thanian of Thirukkurugai pirAn declares what we wish to do for
this AzhwAr.

En piRavi theera iRainjinEn innamudha/ anbE thagaLi aLiththAnai- Nun pugazh
sEr/
seedathAr muthukkaL sErum kadan mallai/ bhoodatthAr ponnan kazhal

Meaning: To get rid of samsara, it is he who gave us the insatiable nectar
"anbE thagaLiyA" pAsuram, the one, who is known for his wisdom (para
GnAnam). He was born at Mahabalipuram (kadan mallai). I prostrate at the
feet of BhoodatthAzhwAr.
