Sahasranaamam doubts.

Dear Sirs

Recently while reading Vishnu Sahasranaamam, I think I paid more
attention to the naamas or something, I dont know, but I ended up
with a few doubts.

I would like to know the interpretation of these Namas, which come
one after other but are in exact contrast to one other. But when
properly interpreted they also convey the same meaning.

I am referring to :
1) Raamo-Viraamo
2) Bhaya Kruth - Bhaya Naashana (causing fear, destroying fear)
3) Guna brun - Nirguno Bhavaan (full of Gunas, devoid of Gunas)

Especially the 3rd one is way too interesting. One cannot stop
wondering how Bhishma could compose such an interesting sequence
lying on a bed of arrows!!

Can someone please explain the correct interpretation of these ?
