Agamas in malainATu divyadesams?

Dear Enlightened Members,

Adiyen had lived in Kerala for a long time and worshipped in most of the divya desams in Central and South Kerala. However, there are no Srivaishnavas in these temples to perform the daily rituals.

They are from the Namboodiri sect most/all of whom are actually saivites and practising advaitiks. They neither know Tamil nor do they have any knowledge of the divya prabhandam - this is possibly true of the divya desams in any non - Tamil Nadu centre also. However, since Kerala has the largest number of divya desams - as many as 13 - this State assumes significance.

Will the Learned members throw better light on this phenomenon as to its history and origin?

[ Just to clarify -- the Nambudiris are not strictly speaking Saivites but
unaffiliated Vedic brahmins, like the "Iyer" brahmin community of Tamil
  Nadu. -- Moderator ]
