Dear Baghavatas :

I have posted the following text on 15th Nov. Due to our server problem I could not receive
any mail message on 16th Nov. I think I would have missed all the messages from Bhakti-list.
Please send it again and I also request baghavatas who answered for my questions to resend
the same.

Thank you.

K Balaji

1) I have few questions regarding sandhyavandanam.

How to perform sandhyavandanam during inconvenient times like
long distance travelling, bed-ridden illness and hospitalization ( I
beleive grahasthas have to do sandhyavandanam only after taking bath )
etc. Is there any alternate method of performing this. can
we do only japam without performing other rituals prescribed in the
books like ( arkyam, avAhanam). Rather than skipping sandhyavandanam
during inconvenient times will reciting Gayathri alone be sufficient and
acceptable.

Other than sandhya kalam, can we recite Gayathri within our mind in
between our daily works ( when we have free time )

Is it prescribed that we should do japam in standing posture only during
PrAdhas sandhya kalam?

I request respected members to clarify my doubts.
