Dear Bhagavatas,

We have been blessed by a series of brilliant posts by Sri Sadagopan
(on Muthuswami Dikshitar's Krithis on Sri Thayar) and Sri Anbil
Ramaswamy (on Andal in his series on Azhwars). Sri Sadagopan
very lucidly and eloquently captures the tributes paid by Muthuswami
Dikshitar to Mahalakshmi Thayar. Muthuswami Dikshitar's expertise in
Sri Vidya is reflected in his references to the Bhijaksharams used in
the worship of Mahalakshmi Thayar. The additional references to the
works of Swami Desikan and Kuresha were most informative.

Sri Ramaswamy's posts on Andal were superb. This brought back to me
the memories of Dhanurmasa Puja at home everyday during Margazhi Masam.
An important message that comes across from the Pasurams of Andal is the
aspect of Trikala Smaranam i.e., taking the Lord's name during three times.
Margazhi Tingal... indicates that one must wake up from sleep with the Lord's
name on their lips, while Ongi Ulahalanda... emphasizes the need to think of
the Lord while bathing and finally Kudarai Vellum Sheer.... denotes the
thought of the Lord before partaking of food. This is very easy to practice.

I would like to thank both Sri Sadagopan and Sri Ramaswamy for their
excellent posts.

Dhanyosmi,

Muralidhar Rangaswamy
