In as much as Pinnai is mentioned in Chilapathigaram, which BTW precedes ANdaaL, Pinnai and ANdaaL cannot be one and the same. Besides, ANdaaL herself cajoles the lord to wake up from his sleep, resting on Nappinnai's breasts. koththu alar poonguzhal nappinnai kongai mEl vaiththu kidantha malar maarbaa .... Clearly, ANdaaL is not singing about herself here. As for Radha, Badri's speculation about nappinnai's legend travelling north is a definite possibility.
