Dear Members As you might be knowing, cattle world over are ill treated and immense wrong is being done to them. This includes feeding them meat (which includes even beef), injecting them with harmones to yeild more milk (which could lead to cancer in cows) and inhuman treatment before their slaughter. Sadly, India, the land of Govinda, happens to be one of the places where this takes place on a large scale. It is time we, as considerate human beings, and as devoted Hindus, who revere Go Matha, speak in unison against these. In fact, we should consider it a duty that Sriman Narayana has given us, He being the primary protector of cow. In this regard, I would like to mention that H.H. The Sankaracharya of Kanchi Mutt has launched a movement against the ill-treatment of cows (Go Samrakshana Movement). Some months back, my friend and I created a web page documenting the horrific nature of the ill treatment, various illegal acts of the perpetrators of these acts and the virtues of vegetarianism. Also, this site has an online signature campaign page. However, most unfortunately, we have not received too much success in our endeavour.
