Sri-guNa ratna-kOSam (Pt.XXVI:SlOkam 17)

Dear Sadagopan svami,

It appears to me that your series on Sri Parasara Bhattar's magnum opus of
devotion touches on very topical issues.

The orchestrated denial of the presence of 'vatsa-Lakshmi' on the chest of
'periya perumAL' Sriranga was a self-evident move of a certain
not-very-learned but mega-hype "seer" to eliminate from the Sacred Person the
crucial mark of Sri-Vaishnava identification, and then to start the gabble
that the dear Deity is NOT Sri Narayana at all. This kind of illiterate and
perverse 'argument' is kept up to this day in respect of Lord
tiru-vEnkaTam-uDaiyAn.

I note the poignancy of your quote in this context ~~
<>

I have planned to write a note on this issue, supplemented by a
stroke-by-stroke account of the developments, culminating in the happy
decision to restore 'vatsa-Lakshmi'.

Thank you,
Sundara Rajan @ Srirangam.
