dear Sri Sagar,

Yr posting of January 16 on Srimad Bhagavatam merited a more instant response
than my delayed one. You had remarked ~~

Unless you had yrself discovered or someone had advised you since, I may
inform you that the 'formal' Sri-vaishNava vyAkhyAnam
(bhAgavata-chandra-chandrika) on Srimad Bhagavatam was written by
Vira-raghavacharya (of vatsa-gotra, and son of Sri-Saila) placed in the 14th
century.

The Tirumalai-Tirupati Devasthanam took up publication of the available
vyAkhyA-s on Bhagavatam, viz.,
(1) bhAvArtha-deepikA of Sridhara Svami;
(2) bhAgavata-chandra-chandrikA of Vira Raghava;
(3) pada-ratnAvalee of Vijaya-dhvaja Tirtha; and
(4) sudhee-sudhA of Radhakrishna.

The texts were edited by Dr pannAla Radhakrishna Sarma, and the first volume
(concluding with First skandham) issued in 1989. Thereafter, the project was
given up mysteriously.

aDiyEn rAmAnuja-dAsan,
Sundara Rajan @ Srirangam.
