This is very true. Sri Tirukkudandai Andavan  walked all over
India.  Also He used to walk bare foot most of the time. I have
never seen Him with sandals. However, i am told at the out skirts
on a hot afternoon, He would wear sandals, after much compulsion
by shishyas. A TVS van always followed Him.  Shishyas took turn
giving Him company  and riding van when they get exhausted. He alone
walked all the time.  Very few could keep up with His pace either.
