Sri Anand's Experience In Thiruvellore

      Dear friends,

      I   read the excellent posting by Sri Anand on his visit to his
      native place
      in Thiruvellore.
      I have visited the temple last a year back also I have visited before
      couple of
      times. Everytime I used to immerse a piece of jaggery  (vellam) in
      the temple
      tank. Though I did not know the reason for it, I used to do on seeing
      others.
      I request Sri Anand who has such a close relationship with that
      temple to
      explain the background on this.
