Am writing to your id instead of the list because I am replying from an
id which is not subscribed to the list - request your apologies.

The Bhakti List does indeed serve many purposes - looking at
SriVaishnavism as an undivided whole during the period upto (and
including) Sri Ramanuja - offering us the unedited truth. And making many
ignoramuses like me aware of the glory, theology and philosophy of
SriVaishnavism. And raising some pertinent questions which many of us
would prefer to avoid.

There has indeed been little activity but I think traffic will pick up
once we have some co-ordinated discussions. Maybe the list should move
into a push followed by discussion mode i.e. Some members (selected by
you/senior members of the list) initiate a discussion and then we have a
discussion on the same (like Sri Krishna Kalale's quizzes or your
question on Ramanuja's contribution). Though selection of a member may
seem contrary to your stated objective of free discussion within bounds,
selecting somebody knowledgeable (it is an open-ended term) would lead to
quality discussions.
