dear members of the bhakti-list& sree raghavakumar,
Thanks for your kind mail enquiring about the sobhanachala narasimhaswami
kshestram in agiripalli and made me to recollect my past.
before i get the detailed information about the vishanava kshetram from my
friends and write, let me give my past recollections of my child hood days
when i visited agiripalli many a time with my parents and my grand mother smt.
ranganayakammal native of nuzvid(during late 1940s and early1950s). we used to
stay with one smt rajammal second wife of sri vangipuram venketachari and she
used to arrange for the darsan of the deity. his first wife smt late
pankajammal was one of my paternal aunt. she had two sons namely late sri
vangipuram seshachari, engineer, settled in madras and venketa krishna
ramanujachari betrothed to one of samavedam families of guntur agraharam. late
sri seshachari had his early education at nuzvid under the strict control and
descipline of my father and my grand mother. he had two sons sri gopalakrishna
and sri druvanarayana. one of our bhaktar belongs to this family.
now coming to the keshtram agiripalli, it is about 20km from nuzvid and 30km
from vijayawada by road and the keshetram is situated at the hill near to
agiripalli village known as sobhanachalam- very picturesque, calm and
spiritual place. the deity is sri sobhanachala (vyagrah) lakshmi
narasimhaswami at the base of the hill, the incarnation of lord vishnu and at
the top of the hill is the deity of hara- sri malleswara swamy stays at about
750 steps above from the base. we used to make archana and harati and worship
the lord sObhanAchala swami.
further information will be given as soon as i collect a detailed information
shortly
continued..
hari Om
jairam
