Dear Bakthi Group members,

Namaskaram !

Being a new member to this group, let me introduce myself, briefly.

I am coming from a orthodox Vaishnava family which follows vadakalai
sampradaya. My native place is a hamlet near Pattukkottai in Thanjavour
district . My maternal grand father was a great scholar in sanskrit and he
lived in Thiruvehendrapuram, a Divya Desam near Cuddalore. I was born
there, and had schooling here for one year at the age of ten. My close
association with my grand father has created lot of interest in Vaishnavam
and today whatever little I know is due to him only. I enjoyed most of the
Utsavams of Sri Devanatha Perumal and Swami Desikan (of
Thiruvehendrapuram) during my young days.

I am a Mechanical engineer by profession, living in gulf since 1992.
Currently employed in Bahrain, a gulf country where there a lot of satsangh
activities. We participate in Divya Prabandam and Baghavath Geetha classes
weekly, and on every Sravanam , we recite Swami Desikan's slokams, a
kaimkaryam started by Mr. Sudershan while he was in Bahrain.

My access to the internet is very recent, and I found the daily disscussions
are very interesting and informative.

I would like to thank Mr Mani for providing this excellent opportunity.
