Dear Members,

Many of you may already be aware of the sad news that
the great Carnatic Musician Smt. Mani Krishnaswamy 
passed away and attained Vaikuntha last Friday. She will
be remembered not only for her outstanding voice and
her dedication to classicism in her concerts, but also 
for her wonderful recordings of many devotional pieces, 
including many stotras of Sri Vedanta Desika. 

Her loss strikes a personal note here as she was the
mother of Sri M.K. Sudarshan, whom members will recall
contributed significantly to the Bhakti List in recent
years.  Our thoughts and condolences are with him and
the rest of Smt. Mani Krishnaswamy's family.
