From the Bhakti List Archives

Dear SrI MaNi,
AdiyEn RAmAnuja dAsan Mukundan. (Vankipuram, Ahobhila
Mutt, Bharatwaja, 37years)
I'm hailing from a tiny village called "Neduntheru"
(One of the jeers was associated with this in HH's
Poorvashram. This village is near Vazhuthur
(Thanjavur), which was the home place of one of the
Andavans in His Poorvashram.
I list below how slowly I came to understand our
Siddhantham, which is solely a fault on my side.
1. I had my Upanayam done as late as at 22, after
finishing my Engineering Honours Degree from Madurai
University. Atleast for 5 years I was doing Sandhya
vandanam regularly.
2. Suddenly one day I found myself associated with
Brahma Kumari's RajayOgA movement. It continued for
atleast 6 months. The rules and AchAra anushtanam was
so strict that I could not continue in that.
3. Reading many books on my own, I was impressed with
Tirumoolar's Tirumanthram and tried to do PrAnAyAma
based on it. (As usual I could not continue)
4. Then a good friend of mine introduced me to Mahesh
YOgi's Transcendental Meditation. (Until now, this is
part my daily routine, of course, a bit modified after
reading Bhagawat GitA. If many times I find that HARI
nAmA is flowing inside silently, then transcends and
fetch a lot of happiness suddenly, the credit goes to
TM.)
5. Although, I bought Bhagawat GitA and VishNu
sahasranAma 15 years back, only for the last 3 years
I'm almost constanly referring/reciting them. Both of
them have slowly (because I'm slow) modified my
thinking.
6. As you had been doing, I too have attended catholic
church prayers with my Christian friend, out of
curiosity.
7. Even, for the past 1 year I've been going thro'
Bhati-list Archives, but now only I requested you to
register me as a member.
8. At present, I'm a member of SriSrinivasa Niketanam
of Chennai, which, for the past 27 years, is doing the
great kaimkaryam of renovating an 800 years old
Srinivasa Perumal temple in Vaiyavoor, near
Chengleput; Annual PAdayAtrA involving more than 1000
people regardless of caste and religion; and many free
medical camps for poor people - all under the guidance
of SriSitArAma SwAmiji.
9. Recently only that I have started feeling that I'm
on the right path, wherein there is no confusion of
worship and there is no commandments.
10. Now myself, my wife and a daughter (4 years) are
all citizens of Singapore. We are residing here for
the past 8 years, where I did my M.S. in Engineering.
I'm involving myself in the Volunteer activities for
the local Indian community. (Teaching etc. during
weekends)

It is all SrI Hari, Sriman NArAyaNA, Who is pervading
all my thinking NOW and I'm now very happy to
discharge my Sva-DharmA as a BhulOka Kaimkaryam to
Him.

WISHES:
1) To research VaLLuvam wherein a lot of VaiNavam is
hiding. (This is purely because of my interest in
Tamil)
2) To see Bhakti-List Archive material in Book form.

AdiyEn RAmAnuja dAsan
Mukundan
