Dear Sriman Anbil Mama,
I wish to get some more clarification in this matter.

This would affect the lagu and guru prasthanam and thereby rendering
the chandas invalid for the sankalpam. This would be a violation of
the vyakarana sutras of Panini.
I have heard that North American continent is refered to as go-
theertha kandam in the Vishnu Puranam. Could someone please check
this up?
Please do not mistake my questions. I would like to know what
substitution we should use during sankalpam so that the chandas is
not violated.
Regards,
Malolan
