Annual Thiruppavai conference at Srivilliputtur

The 8th Annual Thiruppavai conference will be held in srivilliputtur
this year in the month of february(probable date is from 31st jan to 5th feb)

         The conference was first held in 1992 and since then this annual
affair has become very popular.The duration of this conference is usually
around 5 or 6 days.Eminent scholars from different parts of the country
are invited every year to give a discourse on one paasuram of thiruppavai
Each scholar gives a discourse on one song only and the song is alloted
to the scholar through a draw of lots.The discourse of each paasuram is
for around 1 hour.The conference is held at the Sri Andal Sannidhi just
inside the entrance of the vatapatrasayi temple.

           Members of list who find it convenient can take this opportunity
to attend the conference and listen to excellent discources on Thiruppavai.

on Margazhi Neerati Utsavam at srivilliputtur .The yenna kaapu and alangaram
is very captivating to watch.
