restatement:names of vimanams

Respected members,
I seem to have framed my question rather poorly.To restate it,Lists of
the 108 Dhivya Dhesams ,after mentioning the thirunamams of the Koil's
Perumal and Thayars and before going on to the sthala puranam assign
names for the vimanam and theertham of that respective kovil.I wonder if
any of you could enlighten me on the reason behind and the criteria for
assigning these names.
