Dear Prapatti Group Members: Shri Keshava Prasad wrote: "It will be interesting to note the verses from the well known "Purusha Sookta" extolled as the authority for describing the greatness and perfection of the Adi Purusha, whom SriVaishnavas believe to be Sriman Narayana. This is important because Mani mentioned Purusha Sukta in passing. " Dear Prasad: Not only SriVaishnavas beleive that the Adi Purusha addressed by the Sooktam is Sriman Narayana, but a number tantric and agama texts belonging to Saktas and Saivas say the same thing. It is a well established fact that the Purusha who is described as "Hrishchathe Lakshmi cha Pathnyau.." is none other than Sriman Narayana. It is not a Sri Vaishnava creation. Thanks. Vijay
