mr.D. has defined the various forms of marriage,
brahmana, gandharv, rakshasa, paisacha etc. One
notes that here it is defined as consummation of
sexual intercourse, perod. It raises an interesting
point, that our interpretation of many wives in
the puranas may not be quite correct. One
kept many women may be the concept.
