Dear BhakthAs: This would be one of the penultimate
posting on the recently concluded Thiruadhyayana Uthsavam
at the Sri RanganAthA Temple at Pomona , NY. With one more
posting, adiyEn will wrap up the series .

Prior to starting on the main topic ,I would like to make
a correction on the number of sEvArthis , who attended
the services at the Temple on Sri Vaikunta EkAdasi day.
The number of 1,000 mentioned was for the New Year day
and not for the Sri Vaikunta EkAdasi day for which
the figures are not available.Quite a few arrived
all day long.

Srirangam Arayar Sevai:
************************

at the outset , adiyEn requests experts on
Arayar Sevai at Srirangam like Sri T.S.Sundararajan
Swamy to correct any mistakes in my narrative.

The purpose of this note is like a reminder for
next year's Uthsavam and the expansion of Arayar
Sevai to include items that are used by the Arayar's
at Srirangam , since the Pomona Temple follows
the Srirangam Tradition in its worship details.
This Mutthamizh KoNDAttam is unique to Thiru Adhyayana
Uthsavam every where including the Pomona Temple
for Lord RanganAthan.

ThiruAdhyayana Uthsavam: Pahal Patthu
***************************************
The Paasurams chosen by Arayar for the sEvai
during the day time (Pahal Patthu) are 26 in number

The meanings of these paasurams are archived in the Dec 14,1997
issue of Bhakthi List.

and overcoming the ills of Kali dhOshams and attainig
immortality.

starting from "MinnuruvAi munnuruvil vEda NaankAi"

There are exquisite and moving meanings of the ThirunedumthANDaka
Saasthram used by Swamy ParAsara Bhattar to win the MelkOte advaithin
in a debate and to transform him into a great Sri VaishNavite
AchArya by the ThirunAmam of Nam Jeeyar.
