part 15 - azhagar koil's effect on pushpaha vimAnam

There was a king in chandra vamsam by name "puruvarasu". He ruled the southern
province with maNaloor as his capital. He had four sons.
The eldest was indrathyumnan. Indrathyumnan did penance on this Lord azhagar
and was blessed with son who is a parAkramsaaali. He later did penance on
shOlingar Yoga narasimhar and attained moksham as granted by Yoga
narasimhar. (ref. my post on shOlingar or thiruk kadigai thala puraanam).
Indarthyumnan named his son as "malaythvajan" (in memory
of the azhagar malai). When malayth vaja pAndiyan ruled this province he was
once flying over using his pushpaka vimaanam. As it was passing this
hill it descended and couldn't pass this hill and landed here. He realized
that
no vimanam can fly past this hill as heard from the saint living around. Then
he became an ardent devotee of this Lord and did many kaimkaryam
for this Lord and became one of the famous srivaishnava king of pandiya
kingdom.
