Re: outburst of a angry vaishnavite

From the Bhakti List Archives

everyone,

my views on this point is that this is a bhakti-list and intends to
discuss bhakti as the foremost.

we hear about several paths (mAargams) to reach the lord. but for
each there is some effort required from our side.

For one who follows the Vaidheega-Margam, Anushtaanams are highly
important.

For one who follows Vedanta Vicharam, a very high amount
of "vairaagyam" is quintessential.

For Saranagathi(surrender), one needs to have complete faith, trust
(druda viswaasam).

We are supposed to be discussing devotion and surrender, in this
list.

In Gita when Krishna says, "dharma samstaapanaarthaya", what Dharmam
is he talking about re-instating at the end of Dwapara yuga and for
the Kali Yuga ??

Will any of these Vaidheega dharmams, even be accepted or be
followed ?

He really talks about devotees (such as our Vaishnava achaaryas) who
will set Bhakti Margam and "Naama Sankirthanam" as the only way out
for this age. Nothing else, will work if preached or imposed. That is
the problem of this age. Its not our fault. But we have an easy way
out luckily.

For, naama sankirthanam, even druda vishwaasam or faith is not
required, as we note in the case of Ajamila. Even a casual calling of
Hari's names is going to do so much good.

So why bother about Vaidheega Anushtanams, in an age when even our
great Acharyas did not give it 1st precedence ?

Radhe Krishna
