Dear BhakthAs:

Today is Maasi makam , a day dear to the dhivya dampathis 
of ThirvahIndhrapuram , one of the celebrated 108 Dhivya 
dEsams . Today is also PourNami, when the ocean tides are 
high . 


SrI DevanAthan travels to the sea side (DevanAm PattiNam)
with His dear consort for Her pleasure . She is known for 
Her delight in watching the tides break with joy  at 
Her Thituvadi as  a child and run after them as they
receded . She is therefore known as Taranga Mukha Nandini 
( One who enjoys seeing the waves of the Ocean break at 
the shore ). What  day is better than the PourNami day  
for observing the high tides break ? The Lord , DEvanAthan
goes along to observe this sport dear to His consort . 

The temple doors are closed all day until the divine couple
return from their excursion . Swamy  Desikan used to go
along (anuyAthrA) to the ocean side .

On this auspicious day , adiyEn seeks the assIrvAdhams 
of all the BhagavathAs on the net for intensifying 
the Likitha  kaimkaryam (Postings)about the tributes by 
Thirumangai Mannan and  Swamy  Desikan from today until 
PurattAsi SravaNam , when the RathnAngi for Uthsavar 
should be ready for samarpaNam.adiyEn will focus 
mostly on this Kaimkaryam .

MangaLAsAsanam of this Dhivya Desa EmperumAn
( Periya Thirumozhi: 3.1.1-3.1.10) in the next  
posting .

P.S : After the Dhivya Dampathis return home tonight ,
and his rest overnight to recover from His long
journey to the sea side . tomorrow morning ,
"the measurements"  of this AkhiNDa kOti BrahmANDa 
Naayakan for His new suit (RathnAngi) will be made .
The base for the new garment will be constructed 
out of 4.5 Kilos of Silver and a KIlo of thin gold
leaves will be applied to that foundation to prepare
for the enmeshing of multicolored gems and diamonds
by gold smiths , who prepared the RathnAngi earlier
for Lord Oppiliappan few years back.
