Dear BhAgavathAs,

This is AdiYen's thoughts about SriRamAvatharam and in particular Sri
Adityahrudayam.Kindly correct me if I am wrong.

In the entire Sri RAmAvatharam our Lord declared 'AtmAnam manusham
manye' and he set a example to all 'manushyas' as to how exactly one
should lead his life strictly according to the Dharma.
We have to take the incidence of SriRama taking upadesham from Rishi
Agastyar and chanting Adityahrudayam in this sense.
The Sun-God 'Surya' gives us heat and light through which we are able
to see and understand and perform karma in this world.Without him our
Eye's are useless. In the same way in our hearts (hrudayam) we have
our Lord shining with 'Koti surya prabham'.Just like our eyes utterly
depends on Aditya to see and understand the world We Jiva's and also
the Achit vastusamooham utterly depends on the antaryami
paramAtman. So by chanting Aditya hrudayam and worshiping Surya-
Narayanan we are actually glorifying our own Perumal who is shining
like a Koti-Adityan in our own hearts.
Asmath hrudaye Aditya iva BhAsate iti Adityahrudayam.
If one does Aditya hrudayam parayanam visualising Lord Sri Narayanan
as the real Adityan situated in our hrudayam it will be a great
Anubhavam.

Iti Sri AsmadAchArya PAdarEnu
Suresh Srinivasamurthy
