What Sri Anand and Sri Anbil mama wrote (in my words): One does abivaadhanam (not only as an introduction) also to remind ourselves of our lineage (the glorious) and to feel proud of the same, in addition to feel committed to maintain (attempting to maintain) the lineage's graetness, by adhering to saasthras and carryout anushatanams like sandhyavandhanam.
