Dearest Srivaishnavas,

ThiruippAvai 14th verse- ungaL puzhakkadai thOttatthu vaaviyuL:
engaLai munnan yezhuppuvaan vaay pEsum nagaay- naaNAthhay- naavudaiyaay-Oh
beautiful girl! friend! It is you who said earlier (yesterday) "I would
wake you all up tomorrow". Where is that? It is you who is getting up now
last. Had we trusted you, the whole yamuna river would have even gone.
Dhanur mAsa Aradhanam - is it meant for morning or evening? - After all
this, you are sleeping still, oh shameless one! Everyone says, you are a
great devotee.

I just slept; It is already dawn?
You would have wandered here and there with KaNNan all night. Hence you
would have slept quite late. Look at this. In your own garden, the flowers
have bloomed (senkazhuneer flower); the karuneydhal flower is closing as the
dawn is arriving. Is this not enough?

You are there at my entrance. How do you know about the backyard gardens?

Oh.. we yelled from entrance. You did not get up. We jumped from the
backyard wall and saw those flowers.

I think you saw something else in the dark. It is not yet dawn.

Sanyaasis of this village have also got up, with their milky white teeth
(brushed), white pooNool (upaveedham) and the white cloth of their
thridhaNdam;- can you not see? (sanyaasis never take betel nuts and hence
their teeth are always white)
Oh no.. (friend laughs) how can the teeth be not white? They are always
white.

Look at the mirror and see your teeth. They are still reddish with the betel
nut chewed by you (which was given by KaNNan to you).
Look at those sanyaasis who are uttering Dwaya in their lips, wearing
saffron cloth but white pooNool. They have their conch shells and they
either blow in the morning during Ardhanam or they use them for
Thirumanjanam. They perform sandhyAvandhanam after their dhanur mAsa
ArAdhanam.

Okay. You missed and did not do what you said (that you would wake us up).
But since you are His devotee, what you do is always right. (ennadiyaar
adhju seyyaar; seydhAlum nanRE seyvar- what my devotees do is always right-
says Sriman Narayanan).

Why should I come- is it what you ask? To sing in praise of Bhgawaan KaNNan.
Our tongues get seasoned only by singing and uttering His names and guNAs.
Come and utter, praise with your tongue.

To sing whom?- is your question. Sangodu sakkaram yEndhu thadakkaiyan- The
One who has the Conch shell and ChakrA in his Hands. - Sriman Narayanan-
Bhagawaan KaNNan. We are all Srivaishnavas. We will not sing everyone and
confuse others. Come and let us sing in praise of KaNNan.

Who is He? (She wants to hear from them more about Him- she enjoys hearing
the same)
Sankha chakra gadhA paaNi; DwarakAnilaya achuthan. Don't you know?
I know. Which perumAL?
Oh friend! I think you are driving us crazy.
Where does KaNNan exist with Sankhu Chakra?
He is the lion cub of Yasodha and NandhagOpan. He is the same one with
Sankhu and Chakram. avanEthaan ivan.
Have you ever seen Him with Sankhu and ChakrA? Why are you confusing me?
Oh no. I am sorry. Don't get angry with us. This ANdAL only said that. Let
me ask AndAL. GodhA! Answer her query.

Here is what AndAL says:

He has ajAnulambi bhujam; His arms extend upto the knees; The hands that hug
the devotees tightly;' the hands that grant everything to those who
surrender to His lotus feet; the hands that carry the senkOl (ruling spear)
to rule the whole worlds in unbiased manner; He has got no partiality. Hand
that send the chakrA when required; and blow the conch shell when needed.
Now He does not have Sankhu ChakrA because Devaki (his original mother) who
gave birth to KaNNan was scared when seeing the baby with small cute Sankhu
ChakrA and with four hands. She was scared that Kamsa will know that he is
the divine child and kill Him; she was worried that people will tease Him
for having four hands. She prayed and requested Him to hide the two extra
hands and also Sankhu and ChakrA; After the death of Kamsan, he will show
all four hands and Sankhu and ChakrA- says AndAL. He will show us as well
later. When we get more devotion, He can show us even now as Sankha Chakra
gadhA paaNi. Let us now go to Yamuna to see our KaNNan and enjoy His beauty.

Let us enjoy His lotus eyes. That alone is enough for Him to be identified
as PerumAL- Sriman Narayanan. Even during Vaaraha avatar (huge boar), His
eyes (red lotus) showed His Parathvam. KabhyAsam puNdareekam yEvam akshiNI..
Like the red lotus flower that blooms facing the sun when the sun rises- His
eyes are also so beautiful like the just bloomed red lotus flower.
Kariyavaagi pudai parandhu miLirindha sevvariyOdi, neenda ap periya vaaya
kaNgaL- vaatamil kaNgaL.

Naa avanai alladhu vaazhtthaathu- the tongue will never praise anything and
anyone else except Him; - Your tongue can also sing. Even if you wish to
sing others (demi gods), your tongue will not allow you and be cooperative.
We know your tongue's greatness. So, please come and sing.

Being such a devoted person, so close to KaNNan, you need to be a role model
for everyone. If you do not practise what you preach, others will not obey
your instructions. Elders - that's why are great anushtAthAs and practise
what they write or preach. Please get up and come out.
She sought forgiveness, joined the goshti and they walked together

If there is any merit, the credit goes to the great commentary by Srimath
Azhagiya Singar.
Any errors / mistakes are due to my lack of understanding.
