Dear sri vaishNava perunthagaiyeer,

In this post we will the Sree vishNu sahasra naamaavali having the common thread of name of animals and birds featuring in sree vishNu sahasra naamaavaLi.

a.	lion:

1.	Om naarasimha vapushE nama: -- naamaa no. 21 occurring in slokam 2
	Meaning: he who has the body of man and lion.

2.	Om simhaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 202 occurring in slOkam 22
Also naamaa 489 occurring in slOkam 52
Meaning: for 202 - the great lion - one who destroys
For 489 - he who punishes - the lion- also the man lion narasimha.
MrugaaNaam cha mrugEndhrO~ham - geethaa 10 - 30

b.	The boar - big pig:

3.	Om vrushaa kapayE nama: -- naamaa no. 102 occurring in slOkam 11
	meaning: the embodiment of Dharma - the great boar - the kasyapa prajaapathi.

4.	Om kapi indhraaya nama: -- naamaa no. 503 occurring in slOkam 53
	Meaning: the lord of monkeys. In the raama avathaaram gods came as monkeys and raamaa their leader. 
	So raamaa is the indhra of kapi -s. 
	kapi also mean boar. So it can be taken as king varaaha - the big varaaha avatharam .

5.	Om mahaa srngAya nama: -- naamaa no. 540 occurring in slokam 57
	meaning: the big tusked varaahaa - the great horned.

6.	Om mahaa varaahaaya nama: -- naamaa no.542 occurring in slokam 58
meaning: the great boar- the third avathaara varaaha moorthy.

c.	the snake:

7.	Om Bhujaga uththamaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 195 occurring in slOkam 21
	Meaning: master of serpents -  Sacred serpent anantha.
	- I am anantha among serpents- geethaa - ananthaschaasmi  naagaanaam - 10- 29

8.	Om anantha aathmanE nama: -- naamaa no. 521 occurring in slokam  55
	meaning: inner soul of the anantha- the snake aadhi sEshan, - the infinite self.

9.	Om mahaa uragaaya nama: -- naama no. 679 occurring in slokam 72 
meaning: the great serpent - though great enters into the hearts of all beings.

d.	other animals / birds:

10.	Om hamsaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 193 occurring in slOkam 21
	Meaning: the swan- who moves in an enchanting manner 
	- I am that brahma who has swan as his vehicle 

11.	Om garuda Dhwajaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 356 occurring in slOkam 38
	Meaning:he who has garuda in his banner 
	- one who has the eagle - garuda- as his insignia in his flag.

12.	Om sarabhaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 357 occurring in slOkam 39
Meaning:the destroyer of those who transgresses the ethical bounds 
	a creature with 8 legs - the incarnation of sarabha - capable of killing even lion.

13.	Om kEsi GnE nama: -- naamaa no. 655 occurring in slOkam 69
	Meaning: the slayer of demon kEsi who had the form of the horse.

14.	Om na Eka srungaaya nama:  -- naamaa no. 769  occurring in slokam 81
	meaning: one who has many horns, 
	-he whose strategy  was manifold

15.	Om srungiNE nama: -- naamaa no. 803 occurring in slokam  85
meaning: one who has a horn 
- he who has a horn like bunch of peacock feathers 
- lord's incarnation as fish.

On the "saraBha:" - I would like to add as per dictionary the meanings are 
[refer p 1057 col 2 Monier williams] 
	a kind of deer 
	in later times a fabulous animal supposed to have 8 legs and inhabited in the snowy mountains. It is represented as stronger than lion and elephant.
	An young elephant, 
	a camel 
	a grass hopper 
	a locust 
	a kind of metere
	Name of vishnu

So it is a name of vishNu - is that meaning which is more relevant to us.
