Hello,

I am a new joinee to this group. I heard about this
site ramanuja.org from my friend and when I browsed
thru, I felt I would be more interested in knowing abt
our own culture and roots. 

I belong to a vaishnava family, very orthodox and
devoted to Lord Venkateshwara. My mom is from
Srirangam and my father is a staunch devotee of
tirupathi perumal. 

Since I am in the US(am doing my MS here) and they are
in India, I miss them a lot and feel cut off from our
traditions and culture. 

By reading ur mails, I hope to gain more knowledge abt
the scriptures and works of The Great Saints, and
hence be more associated with my culture and roots.
