Dear Baagavadhothamaas

I vote for KAANCHI PAER ARULAALAN.

Those who have studied the history of our samparaadhaaya will understand that he 
is our 'DHARSHANAA STHAAPAGAR"

"Maaran Satagopan" begins his "Thiruvaamozhi" praising yen perumaan athigiri 
Vardhan.

Tell me where do we have such ubaya vedaantha gosthiis.

Tell me where do u have such a beautiful "Uthsava moorthi" and "Moolava 
moorthy".

Well one can go thro "Nyaasa Vimsathi and Nyaasa dhasakam" of Thoopul Kula Mani
to understand how great a "Archa avathaaram" he is.

Shri Vedantha Desikaa says "Athigiri Varadhan" as his only "Dhanam" (ref 
"Vairaagya Panchakam").

It was "Athigiri Varadhan' who saved "Sri Baashyaakaara" when he was left alone 
in the deep jungles of vindhya mountains.

You dont even have to call him.

 He runs there whenever you are in distres.Such is is the kalyaanaa gunaa of Yem 
perumaan Athigiri Varadhan.

Adiyaen have given only few.

Porrvaacharyaas ThiruVullam is that all "Aazhwaars"  went spell bound to see our 
Perumaal and that they couldnt do any Aruli Cheyalgal on him.

But MaaranSadagopan dedicated a paasuram on him 

Such is a glory of Athigiri Varadhan.

well they say "Yen amudhanai kanda kangal matrodinay kaanavae"

well adiyaen would say "Yen varadhanay kanda kangaal mtrondinai naadaathaey"
