Re: Swargam for Dasrathar

Hari Om. I hope other learned members will correct me if I am wrong, but
remembering Rama as God is different from remembering and sorrowing after
Rama the son. Sri Dasaratha was not free of desires for worldly matters. In
fact, he married three wives, did not beget sons from any of them and then
got them after performing Putrakameshthi (Isthi is a type of Yagna and
Putrakama+Isthi means the Yagna performed with a desire for son(s)).

>From an esoteric point of view, Dasaratha represents the Jeevatma like us.
The ten rathas (dasa+ratha) or chariots, which he rides are the 5
karmendriyas and 5 jnanendriyas. Sri Rama on the other hand represents the
Paramatma. But let us not go into more esoteric things right now.

The point is unless one is free from desires, one can't get moksha. Svarga
on the other hand is available for all jeevas who do satkarmas.
