I have a few basic questions on the ceremonies performed after death in our sampradayam. The rituals performed after death are done as mentioned in the vedas. what were the additions and modifications introduced for the followers of Sri Sampradaya by our poorvacharyas?( apart from the Subasreekaram-recital of thiruvaimozhi, ramanuja nootrandadhi, sattumurai and recitations expressing the conception of reaching perumal thiruvadi according to sri sampradayam and also perhaps the Srimoorthy danam after chavandi.) with my limited understanding as i know the 10th day ceremony marks the start of the process when the soul in the preta rupam begins the journey of joining the pitrus .In the above context what is the significance of the "otthan", "chavandi" and the "subasreekaram" ceremonies.what is being accomplished in these ceremonies? what is the significance /purpose of the stone hidden in the grahadwara kundam and the tadagatheerakundam which is thrown away on the 10th day. thanks adiyen Venkat S Iyengar
